Haven't seen many Speckled Kings on the boards lately. Along with the South Georgia Easterns, these are my favorite kind of kings. This is a big male from Montgomery County Alabama.

Nice Speckled king.
What kind of temperment do they have as youngsters and then as adults? How big do they get?

I am fortunate to have this adult and a juvenile. I can safely say that this adult is a pleasure to work with. He has yet to strike or even musk me. The juvie is a pain! She musks all the time and rattles its tail every time I look at it. When she was a hatchling she would rear back and strike frequently. She hasn't done that in a while though. The good thing is both of them are voracious eaters. They are both taking defrosted mice.

Here is a picture of the younger kingsnake. As you can see, her "speckles" are just staring to come it. She will be 2 at the end of this summer.
