Yearling Louisiana pinesnake picture

I thought I would slip this in, I just popped the top on the hide box and took a picture.
This is a female Louisiana pinesnake that I hatched out last year (8/03) from a pair of animals I purchased from Terry Vandeventer in 1999. She was one of six hatchlings ( large clutch!) and the only female.
I haven't measured her length but I would guess she is 30" to low 30" 's. I do weigh her once a month; she hatched out at ~74g and is now 285g. She currently eats 1-2 25g rat pups a week.

Dave,

Thanks for sharing the photo. I sure would love to work with them some day, before it's too late. Do you just own the one?

I have two pairs from Terry Vandeventer, a pair of 18 month olds that John Ginter produced and one female that I traced her parents back to the Memphis Zoo. I think they're very interesting snakes, there is a lot left to learn about them.
