I have some awsome pix from a real high tech camera. The smallest I can get them down to is 850kb. how can I get them smaller so that I can post them?
Try resizing them first. If you resize them down to somewhere in the 600 x 450 pixel range, and then save them with medium high compression using a photo editor, you should be able to get them down to 70kb or less.
This blackbelly salamander photo is under 29kb. I don't think it is suffering from the resizing at all.
