One of my new guys - is he a Miami?? PIC

Traci Jun 14, 2003 03:37 PM

I just picked up this guy at a show today. He's huge!! Earlier in the month I saw someone had posted a picture of a snake that looked very similar - and a few people said that it looked just like some Miamis they had seen in the wild. I was wondering if this guy is a Miami as well. I do believe he is in shed - so he's lookin' a little dark and dull right now. But I couldn't wait of course. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry the pictures aren't very good - but right now (in shed) he has brownish blotches on a grey background. The blotches appear to have pretty nice black borders as well.

I was told that he was a classroom pet but the teacher had to give him up along with some other snakes because he was moving to a district that wouldn't allow them in the school.

Thanks!

I have a male 3 year old Miami that is almost an exact match to yours, So I would have to say yes, Miami.

Do you have any pics of him when he is not blue? I have a snake which was said to be Miami when i got it as a hatchling, but i've been told it can be a normal or a ratsnake mix. I'd like to compare mine with yours. Thanks.

I will try to get some pics after he sheds, maybe that will help.
Thanks everyone for your time and opinions!!
