My 10 (almost 11) yr. old female green iguana was just diagnosed with Osteomyelitis last week after a blood panel and xray in early March. Osteomyelitis is also known as calficification of the spine and is a very painful bone disease.
My iguana received injections of Baytril and Meloxicam and I have been following up this week with oral doses of same and then again this next week. The initial symptoms that presented were muscle tremors of the back legs.
Does anyone have (or even know) of a iguana with this disease? I'd really appreciate any thoughts, comments, or concerns.
