I believe my female just had her pre-lay shed. But I am not sure. This is my first time breeding also.

Well, some ways to tell if your female is gravid...
1) stops eating (mine did as she was "blue" for her pre-lay shed)
2) body looks sort of "triangular", ie, fat/wide but the spine is raised
3) a few days before laying (a week after the pre-lay shed for me) she'll start restlessly cruising around her enclosure at all times if there's no good, damp places to lay. If there is, she'll spend most of her time in there.
That is helpful to me. She does have the triangle shape. And today i am going to try and feed.
