CRB Update/CRBs vs BRBs

triniian Apr 19, 2004 01:54 AM

Some of you guys may remember that I got a CRB not too long ago. He was 24" at 9mnths of age when I got him (His siblings were all at least 6" bigger). He's thrived with me and has done 3" in 3 months and is eating like a monster. I am very happy with his progress. His temperament has completely done 180 for the better and his pattern ironically seems to be improving with each shed.

Anyway, I had the fantastic opportunity to hold/see a 6yr old male BRB for a few days and needless to say I was completely awestruck. I found a good deal on a CB female from Mark Lucas and hope everything works out. Anyone know of him?

I have done all of my research on BRBs and CRBs and know of the BRBs' slightly stricter requirements, etc, etc.

My question for the experts around here is: Do CRBs and BRBs really differ all that much? Does anyone have anything of significant advice that I should know about keeping a BRB versus a CRB?

Thanks a lot guys... I am soo excited and can't wait to get this little girl!!!!

Why are herps so addicting? ;p

Iman,
. IMO CRBs are much easier to keep than BRBs. My adult CRBs tolerate much greater temperature variations and do well with much lower humidity than my BRBs.
Good luck,
Jeff

Yeap, like Jeff Said Colombian has a greater temperature gradients toleration than Brazilian. i'm from Venezuela and you can find Colombian all over the country, but Brazilian are just found in the South where rainforest are. That is the big diferent temperature toleration and humidity, Colombina can drive in almost desert wheather area
