I picked up these two girls yesterday at the Toronto Reptile Expo

Didn't think i'd have any money thanks to my car breaking down but my brother fixed it so i only had to pay for parts. I'm so excited about the next show....hopefully i'll find my amel aft

Thankyou I'm thrilled to have them. Today i moved them to a 10 gal tank with lots of hides. I took pics, i'll post them tomorrow as i'm about to go to work. They seem to have settled in quite nicely...I still can't get over how tiny they are nor can i wait for them to grow. hehe

Thanks for sharing the pic Your aft tooks great!!! May i ask, what is your setup like? Do you use particulate substrates? I want to provide only the best for my geckos so any help you can give me on what works best for these would be wonderful. Right now i have them on papertowels.

I use sand/soil for my 2 AFTS,they are in seprate cages because they are both males and i give them a log or rock to hide in and a waterdish and fake plant.I spray them once a day,feed them 5-10 crixs.

Your male looks HUGE!!!! amazing, i can't wait for mine to grow up hehe. I'm hoping these guys can be switched over to mealworms as i'm not to fond of crickets (and have had some bad ones, an experience i do not wish to repeat). I'll log on with the other computer and post the pics i took of their new setups so everyone can give me tips on if its ok

very nice additions you aquired there. AFT's will benefit from a substrate that will hold moisture well. I use a sand/peat mixture at about 25%/75% mix. I've always kept small ones on paper towels with two moist hides(hot and cold ends) until around 6 months old or 6 inches long. I dont know of any devoted AFT morph sites but have sure seen some very nice ones. I've seen the striped phaze in most the color morphs you mentioned in above post. my fav are the deep red ones, just awsome.

Thankyou very much I'm very happy with my new girls. And i'm in awe of yours! Absolutely beautiful. I've already got plans to pick up a male in June from breeder that has amazing animals. I really do like the stripes....and i'll probably get a striped amel het male. I also like the snows. I could go nuts with AFT's like i have with my leos but i'm going to be good and just stick to a few.

I'm still struggling with names for them. The banded one is a bit more uptight than the striped one. They both laid in my hands for a while but when i went to put them into the 10 gal the stripe wrapped herself around my finger and wouldn't let go. I've never had a lizard stay that long in my hands...it was very cool. She's very calm too compared to the banded. The banded one also was wandering around in the tank checking things out alot sooner than the stripe. Ya i need names LOL this is to weird referring to them that way LOL

It'll be a while before i move them to a larger tank with any particulate substrate but its great to get the feedback so i can work on setting things up for them
