My beardie has been sick for a month or with coccidia another parasite and an infection.Well got rid of one parasite and friday she is getting most of her tail off.But she still has coccidia and her legs are like wet noodles when she tries to use them.I went to the NY Metro show and one breeder suggested she may have eaten to big of a cricket which kinked her spine(partial hind leg paralysis i think)and said sometimes this can lead to infections and bigger parasite loads.I was wondering if this is true and she does recover is there any chance she would be able to use her legs again? My vet suggested it was calcium deffciency(sp?)because the coccidia didnt allow her to absorb the proper nutrients and that led to the infection because her immune system wasnt doing to good so I'm giving her liquid calcium.Which sounds like a better theory?
