Argentine Boas.....

alieliza Apr 19, 2004 01:44 PM

I am curious about the Argentine Boa. Does anyone have any experience with them? Id really love to hear peoples stories, input, or advice. A care sheet would be great as well.

Thanks.

Argentines are realy a great boa, Their very hardy animals and easy to care for, though they do get big. Babies can be very hissy (usualy just a bluff) but tame down nicely with gentle handleing. the high pink their born with fades with age to a black/brown and white/cream color unless you find a max pink Argentine, they have been selectively bred to retain some of their pink coloring into adaulthood. Argetines are not very expensive around $100 give or take. Sorry I don't know where you could find any care sheets but I treat mine just like Columbians although I'm told they need to cooled to a little lower temp. to breed mine will be ready this year so I'll find out. If your thinking of getting one I say go for it!
