I am planning to build a rack here soon. I am planning to use runners to suspend the bins (I was thinking 1/8 in) so that I don't have to router into my shelves for the heat tape (belly heat). I was wondering if people thought that 1/8 inch would be enough space for the heat tape to sit between, but not too much so that the heat is not conducted thru to the bins above efficiently? This rack will be used to house pythons.
