I wanted to thank everyone for their advice. I brought my turtle to an expert and found out everything about her and have re-organized her tank. She and her shell are doing better. he said she has a calcium deficientcy and a little fungus. Turns out i had the wrong light and i took the rocks out of the tank and got her a floting turtle dock. Anyway, SHE is a HE and i need a new name. Her name was "madame turtlvich, dutchess of turtalonia..."tootie" for short." Any new suggestions?

Where do you get a floating turtle dock? I am new to taking care of turtles and have never seen anything like that in the pet stores.

i don't know where you live but i got it at a reptile place here in florida. It's great! she has a place to bask and her whole tank is open for swimming. Plus, without the rocks, i not only have more room...the filter cleans better with no place to trap the crud. He took about 1-2 hours to figure out his new surroundings but he has been on the dock for over an hour now. he loves it. It's made by a company called zoo med. maybe you can find it online. hope i helped.

yeah i jsut got one its great you can buy them at petsmart(where i got mine) for 8 bucks for a small one not surer where else tho
