Ok, you all probably saw that post i had with me being upset. i finally got my gekos back home ! I got them home my female looks great and my male well that isnt even close to great! I left with a mass on my male the size of a quarter. I come back it was the size of a dime !!!!! Another thing my female was preganate ok i knew that she was going to be droping sometime soon! I put the gekos back in there home. start cleaning out there old home (10 gallon) there new home is 3ftx1. anyways my female did lay her eggs sadly!!! i go to clean out the hide box oh yea there they are ALL SHRIVLED UP and dead talk about a bad way to start out the week!

i hope all of you guys reply to this story and try to cheer me up a little bit! if you have a story like this post it cause i want to read it !! even if noone else does i do ! and if you got some eggs hatching or getting ready to please show me some of them try cheer me up a little bit..

I'm sorry to hear about your eggs. I can relate with the egg situation. My first two didn't make it and i'm nervously awaiting on the second clutch, each day checking on them to make sure they are still good. Losing eggs is aweful. I'm not quite clear on what you meant about your male, losing weight i think. If thats the case i'm sure he'll gain it back since he's once again under your care.

Try not to let this situation ruin the rest of your week. Each day is new and provides opportunity for great things to happen.

Also, is your female at the beginning of her laying season? If so you'll have more eggs to look forward to.

I have 2 eggs at 82 deg F for 63 days now, found today they werent himud enough, the other day I ment to turn down and went up so it stayed at 95 deg overnight!! AHH 12 eggs cooking really high, well now I have 14 but the first two from one female are caving (I expected).. then my 20gal has two females (super hypo carrot and a normal/aberrant both bred to super hypo male) and i cant tell which one laid so I have to hold back those babies to see if they go super or not.. shew my first big breeding season booming, 4 more eggs on the way! Ahhh

Sounds like fun....i'll start my own breeding projects next year, i lucked out by buying a gravid female, thats why i have eggs. I cant wait for next season to see what my own group produces

I really wouldnt worry too much. She will lay again. Soon ish too. And even if the male isnt mating with her they DO retain sperm...for like ever.No worries
