CRAZY snake found on road

BIG DONNIE BRASC Apr 19, 2004 08:39 PM

So I'm driving to work in Missouri, @ about 7 am. I am flying along at about 60 mph, when I spy the familiar shape on the shoulder of the road. Now if you all are ANYTHING like me, you NEVER get out of "road cruizin" mode. I see new born red eared sliders at midnight in a typhoon out of habit! Ya either have it or you don't!
Well I saw this snake, and my mind took the immediate mental snapshot. I had to drive about a 1/4 mile then turn around to come back. I knew that it was long and thin and not colored like any native MO snake. It looked to me like a coachwhip or something.
I finaly got back, and jumped out, snake stick in hand (wearing a suit and tie) as I approached, I figured it had been dead a while because of it's emaciated state. I was gonna be late for work, but I figured this rare find would be worth it!
This is what I found...........

Why in the world would you pin it like that if you had a snake hook????

Geez...Doesn't anyone worry about snake vertebrae anymore! LOL

I'm guessing that find is worthing of skinning and placing above your desk!...or did you bring it home for little "E?" Better give it a good cycle through the dishwasher to get rid of any residual musk.

On my way to the IHS this year, someone had cleverly planted one of those realistic wooden snakes. I thought I had found a DOR on a very busy street merely a block away from the IHS, but I ended up with a damn toy. It was funny though.
