Eggs in perlite?

heartmountain Apr 19, 2004 08:45 PM

Hey guys, I want to try cooking up a batch of eggs in perlite to see if I like it. What is the ratio of perlite to water and is it by volume or weight.

Thanks
Sean

Add water to perlite in one container to let it get wet and absorb water, then grab a handful at a time hold it up and let the excess water drip off then put it in the egg box. I cover all but the top of the eggs for air exchange. Ive noticed it to work better than anything else and its cleaner, theres less of a problem with fungus.

Just hatched some out in Perlite. Worked great!! I don't know the ratio but the person that already posted pretty much said it all.

Good Luck
Randy
