5500K or 10,000K?

JaredJ Apr 19, 2004 09:22 PM

Which light is better for tropical vivariums? Closer to 5500 or closer to 10,000K?

5500k is a warmer bulb and will be more like natural sunlight. 10000k is more blue, like they use on marine fish aquariums. I did know a guy that only used 10000k bulbs on his frogs though, but he jsut used them because they were left over from his marine tanks.
