This snake caught in Franklin County, KS.....
and this one was found under a large rock along with.....
this timber rattlesnake.....
and an adult racer, a ringneck, and a great plains skink.
All snakes were observed or photographed and then released.

excellent day in the field! nowadays, if I find more lives snakes than dead on road I am ecstatic...that was a great day....and congrats on the release...why risk a collection bringing in WC unless the specimen is a true knockout!
