This is why you never toss an egg before the end. My wife told me many times that this egg was bad, but I figured why not let it runs it's course. This little girl is doing great! Now to pick a name for her that fits her start in life, lol.....

That is good to see. Congrats! There is hope for my clutch then. It is amazing how many STP eggs mold up compared to other eggs I have incubated. I still have six eggs I am incubating from a clutch of 19. This year appears to be largely a bust for me on STP's. I had 31 eggs between two clutches and half were infertile and the rest we either collapsed entirely or are still being incubated.
Best of luck with the ones you have left. Last year I had a couple of eggs that didn't look good and I waited until the end to cut the eggs. I learned that with some of them I had to cut a week or two early if I wanted to keep them. This little female had a twin in the egg with her that went bad early which caused the egg to look so bad. The egg became so leathered that she would have never been able to work out of the shell on her own. This was my first year to really try breeding boas, and I thought how nice it will be not to have to care for the eggs. After my first clutch of eggs hatched and my first clutch of boas were laid, I found out that I prefer the eggs. I enjoy the hands on role I get to play in taking care of the eggs, but I do enjoy all of the babies
Best of luck with yours...
Hey,
That is just super to see that little girl poking her head out taking her first peek into the world. I had a Chondro survive a similar fate, and named her "Miracle". She's doing great too. All the best to you and the little ones.
