shedding problem

My 10-month old tegu is taking forever to shed. He's been looking dull for several months, and just started peeling over a week ago on his side. It hasn't started peeling anywhere else. Should I be concerned? He's active and eating fine, but I know shedding is a gauge for health. Anybody have any ideas on what I should do? Is this normal?
