I found a tick on a Boa Constrictor I just oredered form a breeder. It has been a couple of days and the tick just fell off. I killed it and the snake seems to be doing fine. How concerned should I be about eggs or other ticks? I haven't seen any other tick yet. Is it likely the snake is an import?

Thanks

Its possible that its an import but the breeder may also have a tick infestation he or she is just unaware of! I would tell them just incase! I would be concerned though because it is possible that your new pet is harboring tick eggs! I would recoment spraying the cage with provent-a-mite! it is the best product I have found yet and it is very effective, cost efficiant, and easy to use. you can find it at www.healthypets.com for about $20 a can. Good luck!
