Water Purification?

Icarus Apr 20, 2004 11:21 AM

What are the options out there for purfiying water for use in a misting system?

I've seen dechlorination formulas, and then there's the reverse osmosis system (pricey.. but damn good).

Any opinions?

If your goal is to have the glass on the terrarium free of water spots/mineral deposits go with either distilled or reverse osmosis. You can buy RO and distilled water from most tropical fish stores and grocery stores. Tap water is generally fine to use as long as you treat it with tap water conditioner before hand but it will leave those white mineral deposits on the glass. Good luck,
