I have heard and do believe that albino pythons' eyes are highly sensetive to light. I have also heard that they can even be susceptible to blindness from too much exposure to even artificial light. For this reason I build my albino pythons' cages with added protection from my "daylight" time in the snake rooms and they are placed well away from any windows.
If your burm is not an albino, all I can think of is that it instinctively felt suddenly vulnerable what with all the outdoor smells and unknown places and it maybe felt the sudden "need" to hide.
>>I took my burm outside for the first time this summer. As soon as I went to put her down on the grass she went crazy. She aggressively tried squirming away from my hold for at least 3 minutes. After she calmed down I let her slither on her own. The only thing I can think of is that her eyes needed to adjust to the REAL bright sunlight. Anybody else have this kind of thing happen? Any comments?
