Mata mata?

tokay_ray Apr 20, 2004 02:54 PM

I've been looking for information about mata mata's and where to purchase a small one, found several adults forsale and I'd rather start with a baby. Any informative websites, books, or what have you would be greatly appreciated. Also if you know a breeder or where to purchase a baby or smallish one, that would be great too. Thank you. You can drop me an email at crshhurdler@hotmail.com or AIM Crshhrtler, either would be great.

Matas are rarely bred in captivity and therefore very rarely offered for sale as truely captive bred babies. Also, they are extremely delicate at that stage of their life and die quite easily. You'd be much better off starting with one over 4 inches.
