I've been looking for information about mata mata's and where to purchase a small one, found several adults forsale and I'd rather start with a baby. Matas are rarely bred in captivity and therefore very rarely offered for sale as truely captive bred babies. Also, they are extremely delicate at that stage of their life and die quite easily. You'd be much better off starting with one over 4 inches.
