bunches of time only it does not list common names...for a good reason too...so many reptiles share the same common name i.e. you will hear folks call Eryx johni and Eryx elegans, Persian Sand Boas as one example.

Then you have the different problem of Boa constrictor constrictor and the Boa constrictor imperator Bci, Columbians, Hoggs, Nicaraguans, and lots of others are all Bci with no respect to subspecies... why I don’t know... There are obvious differences in them.

I just want to comment on how amazing it is for such a species to be so diversified.... wow... it just blows my mind, just wanted to add my little comment on our boa lists.

MR_ANACONDA28 Apr 20, 2004 08:48 PM

His name is Eunectes Deshouenseei a.k.a De Schauensee Anaconda. Not a sub-specie. He looks real close to a green anaconda but also has alot of the yellow looks as well. There are none in captivity that I am aware of, if you know of one let me know.---Eric---

Is to either get a copy of "The reproductive husbandry of Pythons and Boas" by Ross and Marzec, or look on the online EMBL reptile database. Either of these will give you both the latine and common names for all species of boids.

Anyone who hasn't previously looked at the online database, you'll find it a goldmine of information.

Lilroach,
. Other people have mentioned some of the boids that are missing from your list. Your list says three types of Rainbow Boas. There are actually 10 recognized subspecies of Rainbow Boas. You can go to the sources which have already been mentioned by others posting here to see lists of all the boids. The two books: "The Living Boas" and "The Living Pythons" by Jerry Walls have good information about the hundreds of different boids.
