how come my green tree frog is a darkish brown?

my green tree frogs are brownish right now. I have had them for over 2 months. I think ive read that they can change colors a little. seeing how he is always by some wood then this is a possibility. I was just wondering why they are not neon green like in some photos of them.

They can change color based on humidity, temperature whether they are sleeping or are stressed.
A dark brown color is often normal.
