is using a mix of potting soil safe in a ball cage? i want to use the esu forest mix but nobody around my area has it i was wondering if the was any suggestions on a home mixture?

I will be using shreaded paper (from the shredder at my moms work) and it is easy to clean, burrow in, and FREE! In fact, they appreciate it being taken by my, less work for them! And yes the paper is kinda soft, so no sharp edges.

Why would you want to do that? It seems like WAY more work than it is worth.

its more natural like in the wild and its alot easier to clean.
i think it looks better also
