Reptile carpet

mom2autumnnreign Apr 20, 2004 11:08 PM

Well, I've been having some trouble w/ Asia... getting her teeth caught on her carpet when going after a cricket...I tried papertowel but it seemed to stress her out and the crickets kept crawling under it....anyway, I found if you turn it over on what is supposed to be the back of it...It really seems to work well this way (so far)...and she seems happy w/ it like this...This is the rough side of the carpet btw...The threads are more tightly together....I'll post again if she has any trouble but so far she ate good the last few days w/ no problems getting stunk on it....This is a pic of her tank btw....shes in the pic if you look close shes in the middle lol.

There was a post not too long ago about a leo that got its toes caught in retpicarpet and shed his tail. I had heard other stories about this on the forum before that. But maybe you've found something with the back of the carpet. Let us know how it works out.

Yes, I read that post...I've been watching her very closely since I read that...she's never had trouble getting nails caught (at least not yet)...I'm worried about changing her flooring completely she seems to get stressed when shes not on the carpet...the pet store had her on this also...so i guess she got used to it...I'm considering tring maybe tile if I have anymore problems...Its all about her I just dont want to change stuff on her and freak her out.
