What is the average number of days for leopard eggs to hatch?

boastud Apr 21, 2004 12:14 AM

I had read around and it seems to be 150. I have a clutch in the cooker, and i had 2 perfectly healthy little guys hatch at 90 days!!!

90 to 150 day for my animals.
I had one female produce eggs that hatched in 85 to 95 days (a few hundred)and another female that produces eggs that hatch at over 150 days (over 30 so far).
Interesting and very consistant.

What's the smallest female you've had succesfully lay eggs? I have two females about 9-10 inches and have a male very active with them but have yet to notice any copulation. I figure they still need to grow a little more?

I'll get you the exact measurements later but I recently got a female back from a person I sold it to. It is 5 years old and about 10 inches SCL. She nested and deposited 8 eggs in December. To my surprise, 2 hatched last month. I'll provide all the specifics in a later post. There is a bunch of neat info about the ones that hatched.

WOW, I didn't thank they would lay eggs at only five years old,
my female is about that size but thought I had a few more years before I had to thank about her laying eggs. What about the male ? My male is a lot smaller then her but he's around six years old.

Daddy was a long term WC Adult. I was just as surprised as anyone. I'm lucky I just happened to look in the incubator at that time or they surely would have died. I never expected any of the eggs to hatch.
