I've had one episode similar to yours. I purchased pet store snake without seeing the mites on it. Reptil Relief worked well for me. I kept the infected snake in my bathroom which is far away from the others. I sprayed every three days for a total of 5 treatments. At the same time the box was thoroughly cleaned and white paper towel was replaced. Also soaked her a couple times in warm water with 1 drop of liquid dish soap. Never saw any more mites and this little one had hundreds/thousands hiding on her. The stuff works well when using as directed. She ate through the whole process and is now quite large.

I would continue to spray the snakes and enclosure (avoid spraying the snakes directly on the head, even though mites often tend to congregate there). I would also take everything out of the enclosure except a water dish and the snake. I would put newspaper down for the snake, but would change it daily. After about a week the mites should be gone, assuming the spray you're using is good stuff. If worse comes to worse, you could use an insecticide strip. I would only do this as a last resort and only for several hours at a time. If you go this route, remove the water dish to avoid contamination and poisoning the snake. Also, do not allow the snake to touch the strip. As far as the pesky ex-wife, she may need spraying too!

You didn't get it from the Petco in Rancho San Diego did you? There was a good lookin Pueblan Milk Snake in there, someone snatched it up quick. Very young snake.
