I would scrub it really well with hot water and maybe a tiny bit of bleach. If it fits in the oven you can bake it at 200 degrees for 45 minutes or so.

you can find a section at melissa kaplans website on how to treat wood. i believe you soak it in the bathtub with bleach for like 24 hours or something and then let it dry for a couple of days. i`m not too sure, best thing to do is go see at her site.
