I found my male in the corner the other morning leaning on the corner of the aquarium with his eyes closed, and a little bit curled over. I actually thought he was dead. When I reached down to touch him, he opened his mouth and hissed at me.
The only time I get them to hiss at me is when I touch them while they are sleeping. I guess they get grumpy when they sleep.

it would not surprise me. maybe he woke up in the middle of the night to find another spot and hit the cornor and he thought he was in a rock again. i have an all screen cage and sometimes my lizards will sleep hanging from the sides instead of under their hidespots. i cannot believe your lizards hiss when they are woken up! mine are so nice and cute when they wake up. they love my big warm hands.
