Can I just use desk lamps instead of buying Dome lights if I get "GTF'S"????
I have this really cool looking lamp but can olny use 1 light bulb....and the bulb type just heppend to be a PL bulb and I dont think any copany sells these kinds of bulbs for animals...aww poopy....Hey but I still have hope THE ORIGINAL DESK DOME LAMPS!!! Hehe. Once I used those but then my Dad got mad at me b/c he said its diff from the lamps that they use for animals and will over heat and may start a fire. IS THAT TRUE??HEH.

It would be better to use a lamp dedicated for the purpose of heating the tree frog tank. This way you can position it were you need in the tank and use the wattage necessary for the tank. A metal clamp lamp and light bulb assembly will cost you less than $10 at a hardware store, I don't understand why that would be in issue. If you cannot afford $10 for a heat lamp then I ask you to seriously reconsider your ability to keep a live animal as a pet. All animals eventually will have to go to the veterinary, will you have the hundred dollars minimum to care for this frog?

By the way, subject headings like that are not only annoying, they also take away from people who have genuinely urgent questions. A more appropriate subject would have been "Can a desk light be used as a heat lamp? "

uh.......ok you could've just informed me nicer but....yea.....I was olny asking b/c rit now all the other animals are using the lamps that is for animals of course but Im working rit now to get the lamps for animals. I forgot to add it was olny for like 4 days. My dad is to busy to get them. But i can use the lamps b/c i have back up bulbs. NEVER JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS. Plz I dont want to get into a fight.
