I just got back from the vet and after taking X-Rays doc says that there is no impaction. He did, however, say that he noticed substantial gas buildup which is probably what is causing Oscar not to eat. He prescribed Metoclopramide and Maalox to get rid of the gas.
I couldn't really get out of him what causes a gas buildup in monitors (Oscar is a Savannah). What can I do to prevent this from happening in the future? Oscar has lost weight from his fast and I would like to prevent it from happening again in the future. So how do I prevent gas?
