Male tiger retic size question

Chameleo19 Apr 21, 2004 02:46 PM

My male tiger retic is going on 2 years old this july and I am wondering if he is a little on the small size he is just shy of 8 feet. He also seems a little on the skinny side to me even though he feeds on 3 large/jumbo rats a week. He has had a fecale test and he has no internal parasites. Was just curious if he seems small to you also. I will get the weight on him and post it later.
Thx for any info.

He doesn't seem to be to small. After all he is a male. I wouldn't worry about it. If you want him to grow more, bring him up to rabbits.

Doesn't seem like you are feeding him that much either. My 10 1/2ft bali yellow head retic used to get anywhere from 6-10 Jumbo Rats, I'm talking 2ft monster Rats! He wasn't much of a rabbit eatter : (. My 6 fter was taking 1 jumbo rat and my 7fter was taking 2 jumbo rats sometimes 3. Just my thoughts,

I wouldn't really call him small, but he could probably be fed a little more. At 8ft I would be feeding him rabbits. I think then you would see a definite size increase. I have a male tiger just under 4 years old and is a little more than 16ft long and weighs a ton! He takes multiple giant rabbits or roosters weekly. I got him from Mark Kennedy when he was about 7ft.

with all the rats given, how do you find time to handle?
