Speckled Crested?

DerekMoynihan Apr 21, 2004 06:47 PM

I have a few like this, even from different, unrelated pairings. Has anyone else seen this pattern?

Here is a closer shot of the speckling. Sorry for the lack of focus.

Derek,

Those are fairly uncommon. A lot of babies have that speckling, but I don't think I've seen more than a few that have kept it at that size.

This guy has some of that speckling (not the black of course), but more on his sides and head than back.

Very pretty! I saw an unusually patterned crested yesterday, an orange and red one in which the colors almost changed per scale -- the pattern was too integrated to be a harlequin.
