Anyone know anything about this snake in the wild or in captivity. Any help is appreciated.

You are definitly on a burrowing snake theme. Loxocemus (also called the New World Python can tolerater drier conditions than the others you mentioned. It is another rodent feeding species that can reach 4'.

I was also looking for these snakes. I think the Barkers have a breeding pair, but they were unavailable earlier in the year due to being loaned out for teaching purposes, or something of the sort. I'd love to get one of these at some point! This is their site. Send them an email. They were very good about responding to my inquiry.

They are a neat little snake. I have a small female. Word i have is they are hard to breed and produce small litters.
