Damon, hows this for a growth spurt

toddbecker Apr 21, 2004 10:29 PM

As you know I have 3 Burms. 2 albino's and a normal all three het for granite. Well around January I tried the swithch from rats to rabbits. My two albino's have been relunctant and have only ate rabbits a few times and never on there own. I have always had to introduce the rabbits head jsut as they are finishing a rat. This almost always works and they just continue on swallowing the rabbit. The normal female on the other hand made the switch with absolutley no problem. The last time I weighed and measured her was on March 2nd. At that time she was 8'7" long and weighed 36 pounds. Today I measured her and she weighed in at 44.5 pounds and measured 9'10". That constitutes an increase in length by 15" and weight by 8.5 pounds. Not to bad if I do not say so myself. And I do not believe I am powerfeeding her. She gets one 4 pound rabbit every Friday. Anyway, I just thought I would share with you ( and everyone else that cares) about what is happening here. Talk to you all later, Todd

That is some good growth Todd. I just got my albino male on Rabbits and he switched with no problem. His first rabbit was f/t, and I just dropped it in his cage and walked away. I came back 15 minutes later, and he was working on it. Congrats on the awesome growth.
