Ambanja blue panther cham

prich Apr 22, 2004 01:04 AM

I am having a hard time sexing my panther. He/she is roughly 10 months old. He/she is a very beautiful blue color but does that make him a male for sure? Could someone please either give me advice on sexing or tell me a good reference. Also more newbie questions.. why do somem breders refer to them as blue bar? and at what age are they able to breed?
Thank you for your patience

it is definatly a male. The color of the stripes down a panthers side can vary in color some can have blue stripes, some can have red, a few even have purple. This is what the bar color they are refering to is.

Males can be bred as soon as 6 months old with no problems. females need to waite till they are 10-12 months old depending on how large they are.
Hope this helps you
