how emaciated this poor baby is. Was the petshop not feeding
him? Was this little guy up for sale?

Bless you for taking him in. I can't wait to see pictures
of him after gaining weight and turning bright green. He is
so brown right now. I am surprised by the way he looks
that he had not died.

yes he was getting fed... he is the result of a mom buying him for her 8 year old son and him not takeing care of it... yes he was for sale the owner made them put it up for sale because it was taking up space.. but they werent going to sell it.. but i got him for free they wrote him off as dead..

i also want him to put on some weight.. he ahs more enrgy now and that is good. i am building him a new cage on the upper level of my other iggs cage.. since he cant climb.. this will give the little guy a little more room for right now. but the ten gallon is doing him alright now since it helps keep the temps and humidity up..

only they took him to a shelter about 4 hours from me. I found
him on Petfinder and I really wasn't looking at the time.
He was a mess too! He was a product of Petco. They only
had him 2 weeks, so I know that the MBD started there.

Here's a picture of him 2 days after I adopted him.
He has his front leg casted as it was broken. I believe
it was "carpel walking" which I have read can be one of
the first signs of MBD. The funny thing is the shelter didn't
even notice it.

The 2nd picture is him after 2 months. He has really put
on the weight.

Good luck with your new baby.
