Hi, I am using lizard litter now but was interested in switching to sand. I am not sure where to find the right sand. I have seen washed play sand but it contains the glass elements that are dangerous. Any Idea where to find the right sand and how deep should it be?

Washed silica play sand is what most people use for BD make sure you sift it to get all the big pieces out.

silica sand is bad for beardies (and other reptiles), though so is lizard litter. If you're going to go the sand route, look for something called "caribbean playsand". It should say "no silica" or something. You still have to sift it to get the little pebbles and stuff out, but that's not very hard to do. A lot of times they're easy to spot anyways just by running your hands through the sand after you first put it in the tank.
