hey, what do anoles eat? I'm guessing crickets, which are not exactly cheap for 3 lizards. I know iguanas are herbivorous, so i think they might be cheaper in the long run. Any info on care level, and overall setup costs? Any info would be appreciated.

Hello Lizardboy5:
Anoles eat a variety of insects but you need to remember not to feed them items which are too large. They are not that expensive to feed.
Iguanas, on the other hand, are very demanding in their requirements and are not easily adapted to conditions which are not perfect for them. They also can grow quite large in a hurry when well cared for and will easily outgrow most smaller terrariums in a very short time. Spend some time on both the Anole and Iguana Forums for information.
I hope this info helps. Good Luck!!!

care level for iguanas....based on a scale from 1 to 10

if you spend a lot of time with your ig and give it a proper diet and daily soaks and such i would say the care level is an 8. i'm serious...oh, and just because they are herbivores doesn't mean their inexpensive to feed. variety is the key to an iguana diet. i can spend 50 dollars a month on greens and fruits and veggies and lilo is only 38" snout to tail...and still growing.
there ya go

Shouldn't be in the same paragraph.
The cage alone for a six foot lizard.. whew...
I spend 15$ a month on 1000 crickets... But if you're worried about cost you can breed your own without a big hassle. Anoles are pretty simple to care for otherwise, probably one of the easiest lizards.
