Envirotex epoxy comment-not good

MR_ANACONDA28 Apr 22, 2004 02:36 PM

If you need high humidity DONT USE IT!! my cage is at 75-80% humidity and the epoxy is all fogged up and cloudy. I also would not mount any incandesant light fixtures in the cage, the epoxy gets tacky. Needless to say this is the last time I use Envirotex on ANY of my cages, I will go try to find some other type of sealent- going the industrial track this time.

As I'm sure you recall I had a cage spend a day underwater during a flood. Later I had a layer of wet moss against the bottom of the cage for a few weeks. Besides that the cage has been subjected to moderate humidities.

The EE treated area was still shiny after all of that.

I'm very sorry to hear that you have had problems, especially since I'm sure you tried it at least in part due to my recommendation.

You might contact the manufacturer and see if they have any advice or will refund for the faulty product.
