My home Depot says they no longer carry vermiculite, what should i do?

i got a new bag of top soil and a bag of sand i think im going to mix some up and just put in a little to see how they like it.
what should i do about the vermiculite? is there something i can use in its place or am i just going to have to find a place that carries it?
also my if i find gopher hole idrt do i have to wash it or something?

I don't know where you live, but you can try Lowes, Menards, Stein Garden centers, Walmart or any other garden centers. Good luck.
