Bean Farm RHP!

Do they really heat your cage well or just suck? I put one (12x12) in my 36x24x18 melmine cage. And well so far they heat enough to just make my electric bill higher. On full blast with no thermostat with 72* ambient air temp has a basking spot of 75*
Any of you have good luck with these?

Thanks for any info.

I would contact Bean Farm and discuss your problem with them, and give them a chance to make you satisfied. Hope it all works out for you. Take care!

I would of gone for at least the 18" size.. A foot square doesn't really emit enough heat for a cage that large...

Now that I got it put in there. I should have went for atleast a 12x16 I think. Guess you live and learn. What heat it hives off seems to be very stable compared to a CHE.

Thanks for replies.

You need a bigger size rhp. I use them in some of my cages as an overhead heat source, but it's backed up with a Kane Heat Mat on the floor. The two heat the cage to a good ambient, with a nice hot spot to relax on.
