Avoiding wilting?

Nicodemus Apr 22, 2004 07:41 PM

Obviously due to the high heat, greens tend to wilt much faster than normal. I find myself giving 2 meals since my little guy tends to let things get dried up quite a bit.

Any tricks to avoid wilting?

Should I bother giving a second feed? i.e. should I assume he is probably full after I come home from work?

Thats a good question . I only do the feeding once since after that (or later in the day) they normally don't eat anyhow. But I do put their dish more toward the center between the hot and cold end. Seems to at least last a little while before it wilts...long enough for them to eat it fresh first thing in the morning.

Other than that, I have no other ideas.

That works. I was wondering why he didn't seem to eat in the afternoon...I guess he just doesnt want to, and my extra feeding was useless.
That should save me some extra greens...

Thanks for the help!
