Hi,

I have never posted here, but i hope to get some answers. I recently revieved a female leo, she is under weight, and not in the best of health. The first night she ate a pinkie and some waxies, and a ton of mealies and kept it down ok. Then a day later she regurged. She did it twice today, so now i am presuming she might have internal parasites. I was wondering if the Nature Zone Worm Guard would work on her, as I don't want to take her to a vet and spend a fortune on a gecko that was free, and may have other health problems. This isn't my first leo, she is seperated from my 1.4 breeding colony, which have already laid an earnest amount of eggs, if I could only get them to hatch... hmmm. Any way I would appreciate it if you could give me info on any treatment for internal parasites. O and the temps r correct, so it is either stress or internal parasites i think.

You should have her checked for parasites.
But sometimes thier eyes are bigger then thier stomachs.
You should offer her less food, like 5 mealies and see if she keeps them down then offer more if she is keeping them down.

you could try parazap. I dont really know much about parazap but it could probably save you some money.Another thing like the person before me had said there eyes are bigger then there stomac at times.. My leos dont have that problem but my leos are ab normal. another thing is do you have a good suplyer? (clean crickets no dirty) ? probably sence you got all your other leos just a thing to think of !! take a sample of some your crickets have him test him (vet that is)

hope this helps..
TLC- give your leos a good life not a hard one!!! it is all about the tender loveing care!!!!! the more you give the more you recieve!

I wouldn't recomend treating her with anything without getting a fecal done first.

Vomiting is defintely a sign of parasites as well as being underweight. Take her to the vet and bring fresh fecal samples--fresh ones.

Do not try to home treat it. Death by parasite infestation is a very slow painful one.
