I just got my first blood two days ago. a gorgeous 15" male.
he is in a 40 breder with 3 hides a basking rock. cool side 80.8 and hot side 90.5 humidity 75%. He is also in shed. Is this ok for him?

I'm also learning he is not like my other snakes, Ball and Red tail boa, in that he is not friendly and doesn't want to be handeled. learned when moving him into tank and when atempting to slightly move him to readjust a hide to get water dish. He strikes when i even came close. Should i try to handle him again?

As for food I have no tried feeding him but not sure if I should try yet or not.

any advice on these matters or any others that you have will be more than welcome and am looking forward to dealing with these gorgeous snakes for a long time to come.

forget about handling for a little bit..give him a week or two to adjust to his new home..now lil bloods prefer a smaller tighter tank....the one you have maybe to big for right now...I am not positive about that because i don't know if his size is still considered small or not..(I am new to bloods myself & don't know jack..lol) go & check out the links above the top thread on this forum...they all have husbandry info & if you go to pro-exotics there's a great blood python article that was in reptiles magazine (that's what made me want one!)...you should be able to find out everything you need between the sites up there. I'm sure someone with more blood knowledge will reply as well but regardless those sites should have you prepared for your snake...
I named mine fat body but i'm thinking i should have went with satan..lol he eats well but has quite a roid rage temper..lmao!
