Light Cycles

BeardieKid14 Jun 15, 2003 12:18 AM

I was wondering how important it is for leopard geckos to have light cycles? I have my leos in with a infared night bulb and they seem to be doing fine. I was thinking of moving them into a room in my basement which is quickly becoming the reptile room and I was wondering if it would be ok because it is very dark and there are no windows. Please post your views on the issue.

Yes, it is important that they have regular day (light) and night (dark) cycles. Interruption of day and night cycles means interference with the hormonal regulation of sleep, and stresses the animals.
