Misting system, should I bother?

JaredJ Apr 23, 2004 11:46 AM

Ok, I have my terrarium sculpted and ready to plant but before I go any further I need to decide if I should use a misting system or just do it manually with a garden sprayer. I had dart frogs before and don't mind misting with a sprayer. The main thing was I was going to do a DIY misting system with misters/foggers from Home Depot but regular aquarium powerheads just won't cut it and I don't want to buy an expensive pump. We're only talking one 37H tank, and maybe another 20L in the future. Think it's necessary or just save the $$$?

Just buy an ultrasonic fogger, for $30-40 bucks at your petstore. A smaller water fall would be good it flows over a large surface area. Heating the water underneath with a submersible heater also generates a LOT of humidity. Just be careful the tank doesn't get too warm.
