It all depends on the room your keeping them in I think. I just got done with a rack and I went 75% back and the rest belly. My room temp never dips below 78 degrees so the back heat works awesome. In a cooler room I would of went belly.

The top three adult sections are belly for adult Childrens pythons. The hatchling section is back heat.
